Northrop Grumman

A Leading international company Northrop Grumman appointed Amarelle to design, tender and build a new office facility in the UK.

This fully modern office project was the culmination of 12 months of planning and consultation with Amarelle providing detailed design specifications, mechanical and electrical consultancy and assistance with appropriate building choice.

Using our knowledge of buildings design and management functions and working closely with the Northrop Grumman Team, US and UK based we achieved an excellent level of design whilst also achieving the specific requirements this international client required.

On this occasion Amarelle offered an entire packaged service to our clients, from building assessment, through concept design, to tender, build out, furniture procurement and installation. Other services included, licence to alter and landlords approvals, M&E design, AV design, CDM Co-ordination, Building Control Services and UK client liaison.

With rising real-estate costs, trying to make a space work harder without compromising on a healthy working environment has always proved to be difficult for large organisations.

In Plymouth, we worked with Local World stakeholders to provide a comprehensive workplace analysis report, which enabled informed design choices when they looked to consolidate offices but increase head-count at the same time.

Using our knowledge of space standards and the desires of the staff, we provided a solution which utilised hot-desking and a non-residential desk scheme in order to fulfil the brief whilst maintaining an excellent working environment for the staff.

From concept to completion. Over some weeks we led the client through the design phase culminating in a detailed design and specification, which was assisted by 3D visualisations rendered in-house. Specific consideration was given to acoustics and collaborative working, making the scheme very much on brief. On site now, these visuals give a glimpse of the finished scheme.


We were tasked with transforming Swagelok Bristol’s 20,000 sq ft office/warehouse premises into a space that enabled them to work collaboratively and efficiently.

Swagelok expressed an interest in looking at new ways of working, where communication and collaboration are key.
